2010, the start of a new decade! The last decade started with a panic over Y2K. Our computers survived, and then the terrorist attacks of 9/11 shook our world. After rising up from the rubble, we went through an incredible period of rapidly appreciating real estate values only to be followed by the collapse of the financial system and the onset of the Great Recession. As we go forward into the new decade, the Metro Chapter will continue to provide the member benefits that have sustained the Chapter over its long history, while at the same time having the agility to adapt to and take advantage of technological advances. As the economy grows stronger, so too will the Metro NJ Chapter as our diversity will bring forth new ideas and enthusiasm to carry us through this decade. I look forward to working with all the members during the year to make our Chapter the best it can be.
